IIFA 2019: Salman Khan Jokes About Mumbai Rains, Says Bappa Came To Do Our Visarjan

For the past three days, Mumbai has literally been crawling. The heavy downpour brought the city to a standstill. Now that the rains have subsided a little, it has come as a relief. Salman Khan joked about the same at the IIFA Press conference held today in Mumbai and he literally spoke our minds

Mumbai Rains created chaos in the city. With many stranded in deep waters, the heavy downturn affected the daily life of Mumbaikars. Phew ...finally the rains have subsided. Meanwhile, in this tragic state, Mumbaikars found a way to laugh via Memes and jokes. Salman Khan too is not averse to it. At the press conference of IIFA 2019, he cracked a light-hearted joke on Mumbai Rains making everyone laugh. 

Salman Khan at the press conference said, "Iss baar aisa laga ki Bappa hamara Visarjan karne walein hai. Humesha hum unka visarjan kartein hai, Iss baar Baapa ne bola tumlog ka Visarjan karunga'. Thank God unka mind change hogaya." (This time, it appeared that Ganpati Bappa will do our Visarjan. Every year, we immerse him, this time Bappa said, 'I'll do their Visarjan'. Thank God his mind changed). LOL! Well, this is not an original joke though as it was quite viral on social media during heavy rains, but we like Salman being this jolly and chill.

At the event, Salman appeared in his casual best. He was wearing a formal black shirt and blue trousers. Though formals, his approach was quite casual as he kept his shirt untucked and sleeve buttons open. Katrina Kaif was seen in a denim dress while Madhuri Dixit looked glamorous shimmering dress. For a change, IIFA is going to happen in Mumbai this time. Generally, it takes place abroad but this year Mumbai is the chosen city. We hope rains and any other calamity doesn't kill the mood.
